Job summary

Jobtailor in Chennai, India seeks a senior Java delivery leader to own end-to-end Java-based managed services engagements across multiple clients. You will guide teams in resolving complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure application stability and performance.

Responsibilities include driving performance tuning, DevOps/CI-CD pipelines, AIOps, ITSM governance, and strong stakeholder management. You will mentor engineers and support presales for Java-based transformations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in digital engineering / AMS / IT operations, with at least 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java full stack technologies and enterprise application support.
• Experience delivering large-scale Java-based managed services programs.
• Strong expertise in Java full stack ecosystem: Java 8+ / Spring Boot / Spring Cloud Microservices, REST APIs, Frontend frameworks (Angular / React)
• Deep understanding of application architecture: Distributed systems, event-driven architecture, API gateway, caching, messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ)
• Strong experience in production support & performance engineering for Java applications.
• Proficiency in DevOps & cloud-native engineering: CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab), Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
• Strong grounding in ITIL/ITSM processes and service delivery governance.
• Ability to drive automation and AI-led operations (AIOps) for ticket reduction.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven leadership in managing distributed teams and multi-client delivery.

• Mentor engineers on Java best practices, design patterns, and scalable architecture.
• Support presales, solutioning, and client discussions for Java-based transformation programs.
• Ensure compliance with EY risk, security, and data governance standards.
• Flexible to work in shifts or extended hours as required.
