Job summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking an IT Sourcing Lead Analyst in Chennai to lead procurement activities across Storage, Datacenter, EUS, Network and IT Professional Services.

The role requires strategic sourcing expertise, senior stakeholder interaction, and robust financial modelling for high-value multi-year deals. You will manage eRFX processes, develop market analyses, and ensure adherence to Citi processes and risk controls while guiding the supplier base strategy.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in sourcing or procurement in a large, multi-national organization.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and eProcurement tools (Oracle, Procure-to-Pay, eAuction, eRFx).
• Demonstrated strategic sourcing/procurement, stakeholder management, relationship management, and influencing skills.

The SC Sourcing Lead analyst C-13 is a senior level position responsible for leading procurement activities such as stakeholder and supplier management, negotiation, productivity, financial modelling, legal language drafting, etc. for a specific category or categories.

In this role, you’re expected to:

• Operate with a limited level of direct supervision while being able to maintain effective communication up through senior management and manage escalations.
• Exercise independence of judgement and autonomy in their day-to-day tasks.
• Oversee procurement and supply base strategy, follow and implement standards, policies, targets, and category strategies as well as coordinate the procurement process for the various products and services within scope.
• Lead and/or participate in global category and senior leadership forums with a cross functional category focus on Storage, Datacenter, EUS, Network and IT Professional Services
• Create and fine tune materials for executive review, ie. GDRF decks, project summaries, briefing books, etc.
• Develop and/or implement market analyses/benchmarking processes and strategic supplier management programs, perform financial modeling and lead development and execution of negotiation strategies for high-value and complex multi-year deals.
• Meet audit requirements ensuring adherence to Citi processes, guidelines and proceduresto mitigate risk and ensure control standards are met.
• Act as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets.
• Lead and enable the development, management, and analysis of eRFXs aligned to the Category Strategy.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

• 6-10 years of relevant experience
• Experience in sourcing or procurement in a large, multi-national organization
• Experience in leading strategic sourcing programs
• Experience in complex deal structuring, negotiations, and contracting
• Advanced computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and eProcurement tools (e.g Oracle, Procure-to-Pay, eAuction, eRFx)
• Demonstrated strategic sourcing/procurement, stakeholder management, relationship management, and influencing skills
