Job summary

PeopleStrong in Thane is seeking a facilities maintenance professional responsible for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related upkeep within hospital premises. Responsibilities

• Repair lighting fixtures, switches, sockets, wiring, and distribution panels.
• Monitor backup systems like Diesel Generator (DG) sets, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) units, and water pumps.
• Ensure stable power delivery to critical areas like Intensive Care Units (ICUs) and Operation Theatres (OTs).
• Fix leaking taps, broken pipes, washroom fittings, and drainage lines.
• Handle minor civil, carpentry, and door lock repairs (hinges, tiles, and drywall patches).
• Conduct daily walkthroughs of the hospital to spot safety or structural hazards.
• Service and clean air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and exhaust fans.
• Monitor climate control in sensitive zones like sterile supply and patient rooms.
• Assist with routine maintenance on hospital machinery and general equipment.
• Respond quickly to urgent breakdowns to reduce downtime.
• Follow strict hospital infection-control and fire-safety rules while working in active care areas.
• Coordinate with external vendors for specialized annual maintenance contracts (AMC).
• Log completed tasks and service records in maintenance tracking systems.
