Job summary

Narayana Health is seeking a laboratory technician to perform serological tests and handle specimen collection in its Raipur facility. The role includes preparing smears, urine deposits, and culture readiness, with strict adherence to autoclaving and waste guidelines within the CSSD.

The candidate should manage chemicals, maintain glassware, and conduct routine serological and bacteriological analyses while keeping departmental inventories and monthly statistics.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimen.
• Prepare smear for examination.
• Centrifugation and preparation of urine deposits for smear examination and culture.
• Taking weight of chemicals for stock solutions and preparation of stock media for bacteriological work.
• Autoclave used blood culture bottles and dishes.
• Sterilising and maintaining glassware by autoclaving.
• Perform serological tests for various isolated organisms.
• Bacteriological tests to prevent hospital acquired infections.
• Check efficiency of autoclaving of instruments and linen in CSSD.
• Take universal precautions while handling blood and body fluids and follow waste management guidelines.
• Keep account of stores related to department.
• Prepare monthly statistics of investigations done.

• To perform serological tests for various isolated organisms.
• Bacteriological tests to prevent hospital acquired infection.
• To check efficiency of autoclaving of instruments, linen etc. in CSSD.
• To take universal precautions while handling blood and body fluids and to follow guidelines on Hospital Waste management for safe disposal of samples left.
• To keep account of stores related to department.
• To prepare monthly statistics of investigation done.
