An STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) Operator manages, monitors, and maintains wastewater treatment equipment to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Key duties include operating pumps/motors, conducting water quality tests (pH, DO), chemical dosing, and documenting daily operational logs.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (ITI in Fitter/Electrical/Mechanical or related trade is often preferred). Experience: Prior experience operating Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) or Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP). Skills: Technical knowledge of wastewater processes, mechanical aptitude for repairs, and basic computer skills (Excel) for reporting. Physical Ability: Ability to perform manual labor, work in confined spaces, and lift heavy equipment.
