About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our team at Responsive.io. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and improving product documentation to enhance user experience. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to produce high-quality content that makes our products easier to understand and use.

Develop, maintain, and enhance product documentation, including user guides, API documentation, FAQs, and release notes.
Work closely with product managers, engineers, and UX designers to understand product features and translate complex concepts into clear, user-friendly content.
Ensure documentation is structured, concise, and aligned with company standards and branding guidelines.
Identify documentation gaps and proactively improve content based on user feedback and product updates.
Manage multiple documentation projects in parallel while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and effectively supports customer needs.
Contribute to documentation strategy, style guides, and best practices to enhance consistency and usability.

Education

Bachelor's degree in English, computer science, or a related field is preferred

Experience

3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in SaaS, cloud-based applications, or enterprise software.
Experience with documentation tools (Markdown, Zendesk, Paligo, etc).
Familiarity with API documentation (Swagger, Postman) and the ability to work with engineering teams on technical content.
Experience in working within Agile development environments and using tools like Jira and Git.

Skill Knowledge & Ability

Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or Markdown is a plus.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong understanding of technical writing principles, structured documentation, and information architecture.
