Job summary

BlackLine India is seeking an experienced accounting or finance professional to become a Technical Trainer, empowering customers, partners, and employees to transform their close processes with our software.

You will deliver engaging training sessions, translate accounting concepts into software workflows, and collaborate with Learning Experience Designers to keep content accurate and impactful. Some travel and flexible hours may be required.

As a Technical Trainer at BlackLine, you will be the subject matter expert who empowers our customers, partners, and employees to transform their accounting processes using our industry-leading software. We provide a robust onboarding program to teach you the art of software instruction and refine your delivery; you provide the real-world accounting expertise that makes the learning experience invaluable.

You'll Get To:

Leverage your accounting knowledge to deliver engaging and practical training classes on BlackLine products, both in-person and virtually.

Translate complex accounting principles into clear, understandable concepts within the context of our software.

Meet assigned quarterly and annual delivery satisfaction and utilization targets.

Act as a trusted expert, sharing best practices and consulting with clients on how to best utilize BlackLine solutions to meet their financial close needs.

Collaborate with our Learning Experience Designers and other subject matter experts to ensure our training content is accurate, relevant, and impactful.

Develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and customer success.

Stay current with accounting industry standards, implementation developments, and trends to ensure your expertise remains cutting-edge.

Represent BlackLine and the Training team at key customer events and user conferences.

Other duties as assigned.

What You\'ll Bring:

Years of Experience in Related Field: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a corporate accounting or finance role (e.g., Accountant, Financial Analyst, Controller, Auditor). Education: Bachelor\'s degree or the equivalent work experience Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Public speaking
• Project Management
• SaaS implementation methodology Other:
• Ability to conceptualize and present technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Ability to deliver virtual training with MS Teams or similar applications to both small and large audiences.
• Ability to accommodate a global virtual and in-person delivery schedule outside of regular business hours.
• Ability to travel 25-50%.

Experience using BlackLine or other financial close automation software

Experience with process improvement or system implementation projects.

Experience applying adult learning principles to instructor-led training sessions.

Experience in developing learning experiences through building effective class materials such as PowerPoint decks, student and instructor guides, lab exercises, and job aids.
