Title: Operations Technical Lead

Reports to : Operations Manager

Department: Managed Solutions Services

ROLE SNAPSHOT

The Operations Technical Lead provides systemic and procedural guidance to Fortra’s Security Operations group and Managed Services teams . As a lead contributor (no direct reports) , you will act as subject matter expert, mentoring analysts , supporting management and driving technical strategies and security outcomes. By monitoring and improving detection results, response times , and SLA compliance, you will bridge the gap between operations and security value.

KEY DUTIES

Service Operations & Integrity

• Understand operations framework and all relevant SLOs/SLAs applied to the detection, monitoring and mitigation of service results.
• Govern team performance and accountability, maintain incident lifecycle, drive security objectives and produce the as much value from tool and teams.
• Track and evaluate tool and team performance, identifying trends to support operational improvements.

Process Development & Optimization

• Define and document workflows, checklists, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Identify operational gaps to improve detection results, response times and overall incident lifecycle.
• Partner with team to translate security goals into operational workflows, ensuring the team is equipped to meet evolving security needs.
• Manage workload distribution, service expectations and benchmarks identifying trends in data and owning escalations as needed.

Q UALIFICATIONS & SUCCESS METRICS

• 3 + years in security operations, implementation engineering, or technical onboarding roles.
• Hands-on experience with DRP / brand protection products & services .
• Strong understanding of security architecture, log ingestion, and API-based integrations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and identity solutions (Okta, Azure AD).
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Proven leadership skills and collaboration working with cross-functional teams .
