Ideal candidates have 8+ years of experience, strong Java skills, and deep knowledge of cloud platforms and DevOps practices, with prior SaaS/enterprise product exposure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong Java programming skills (Collections, Concurrency, Performance).
• In-depth understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and DevOps best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the Fortra Secure Service Edge product.
• Participate in a complete development lifecycle and high-throughput, maintainable systems.
• Develop performance and automation strategies for high-quality products.
• Influence features and direction of the product and platform with your ideas.
• Collaborate with Customer Support to troubleshoot issues and identify gaps.
• Mentor junior developers.

Senior Software Engineer - Java

Fortra SSE (Secure Service Edge) is anintegrated cloud security solution designed to provide organizations withcomprehensive visibility and control over data, endpoints, and cloudenvironments.

Fortra SSE unifies components such asCloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), and Zero TrustNetwork Access (ZTNA).

With its integration of CASB, SWG and ZTNA,Fortra SSE delivers continuous assessment of user and device risk, supportingdynamic and context-aware access decisions. It addresses challenges posed byremote workforces, cloud adoption, and public internet threats by consolidatingmultiple security protections into a streamlined cloud-native solution.s

Responsibilities:

• Development and enhancement of FortraSecure Service Edge product.
• Participate in a completedevelopment life cycle starting with understanding various functionalrequirements, understand/refine functional specification and develop for highthroughput and easy to maintain systems.
• Develop Performance and automationstrategies for delivering high quality products.
• Influencing the features anddirection of the product and platform with your own ideas
• Work with the Customer Supportteam in troubleshooting and fixing customer issues and identifying the productgaps.
• Take an active role in mentoringjunior developers

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience with anengineering degree in Computer Science or related degree
• Strong Java Programming skills(Java Collections Framework, Multithreading, Concurrency, Performance)
• In-depth understanding of cloudplatforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and DevOps best practices.
• Expertise in designing scalable,distributed systems with high availability.
• Strong knowledge of API design,authentication, and security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skillsand ability to drive technical decisions.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines andinfrastructure as code.
• Prior experience in a SaaS orenterprise product-based company.
