Job summary

Softcell Technologies is seeking a Fresher IT / Security Engineer in Mumbai to join our security operations team. This entry-level role focuses on building foundational skills in networking, OS, logs, and scripting while supporting client-facing ticket handling.

Ideal candidates are 2025/2026 graduates with AI/ML learning, comfortable with 24/7 shifts, and eager to apply hands-on capabilities in a professional environment. Training provided.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in IT/CS, 2025/2026 pass-out preferred.
• Completed at least one AI/ML/GML certificate course (Coursera, NPTEL, Google, Microsoft or equivalent).
• Strong fundamentals in networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
• Comfortable reading logs, APIs, and basic scripting (Python or similar).
• Strong written and verbal communication for client-facing ticket handling.
• Willing to work in 247 rotational shifts, including night shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline (2025/2026 pass-out preferred)
• Completed at least one certificate course, MOOC, or capstone project in AI / Machine Learning / Generative AI (e.g., from Coursera, NPTEL, Google, Microsoft, or an equivalent recognized provider)
• Solid fundamentals in networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls) and operating systems (Windows/Linux)
• Comfortable reading logs, APIs, and basic scripting (Python or similar) no need for production experience
• Strong written and verbal communication for client-facing ticket handling
• Willing and able to work in 247 rotational shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as per the roster

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to speed up troubleshooting, documentation, or scripting
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• A GitHub profile, personal project, or hackathon experience showing initiative
