Job summary

Our client, a leading MNC in the maritime sector, seeks a Technical Superintendent based in Cyprus to manage the technical and operational performance of 3-4 ships. You will ensure safe operations, routine and preventive maintenance, and compliance with international marine requirements.

You will lead technical management, HSE compliance, budgeting, and people development, while building strong stakeholder relationships to deliver excellent service and results.

Qualifications

• Qualified Marine Engineer with relevant vessel technical background.
• Experience as Chief Engineer on container vessels preferred.
• At least 1 year as a technical superintendent for container vessels.
• Proven ability to manage budgets for multiple vessels.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Technical Superintendent - Cyprus

This is a permanent role based in Cyprus, Europe

ORGANIZATION

You will be in-charge of managing the technical and operational performance of 3-4 ships. Your key role is to ensure safe and efficient operations of the company’s vessels, their routine and preventive maintenance, and that all international marine requirements are complied with.

Requirements

• You must be a qualified Marine Engineer; a degree in business or any related discipline will be an added advantage.
  
• Experience as a Chief Engineer ideally on Container vessels
  
• At least one year of experience as a technical superintendent focused on Container vessels.
  
• In your past roles, you have demonstrated high quality technical and managerial skills in linking various organizational resources to excellent service delivery and operational results.
  
• People oriented and passionate about developing shipboard teams.
  
• Business acumen with capability to manage the budgetary responsibilities for multiple vessels.
  
• Highly analytical with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to communicate effectively with any stakeholder.
  
• Able to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  
• Well updated with the latest regulatory requirements and its implementation.
