Job summary

Deccan Fine Chemicals in Goa, India, invites applications for a role focused on operational excellence in multi-step chemical production. The candidate will ensure adherence to HSEQEn standards, drive process improvements, and support new product introductions in the plant.

You will work with production staff to implement procedures, analyse performance metrics, and troubleshoot operational issues to maintain quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years experience in multi stage chemical synthesis production or process development.
• Exposure to process automation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive continual improvement to optimize plant processes and reduce costs and cycle times.
• Prepare and analyze utility, quality, yield, and material variance reports.
• Commission new projects by preparing MPR/SOPs/P&ID, and perform risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement learnings in operations.
• Provide first-line support for troubleshooting in operations.

Role purpose

• To support operational excellence in production
• To ensure production processes are operating at high levels of HSEQEn
• To ensure production output is at desired levels of quality and efficiency
• To ensure production processes are operating to laid down procedures
• To ensure production staff understands the procedures
• To support new product introduction in plant

Accountabilities:

• For operating the plant as per the HSEQEn management system
• For any scenarios that can place oneself as well as others to injuries /illness and Environment pollution
• Draw up the manufacturing Procedures (MPR)/SOPs and ensure that these are understood and implemented by the operators on the shop floor

Responsibilities:

• Drive Continual improvement - Optimisation of the process in the plant so that costs (RM + FPC) are minimized and cycle times reduced within the boundaries of HSEQEn Standards.
• Periodic preparation and analysis of utility, quality, yield & raw material consumption variance and other reports relevant to management of the process.
• To commission new projects/products in the plant in terms of preparing MPR/SOPs/P&ID, technology absorption, relevant DCS changes and perform risk assessments of the process in a team.
• Ensure that Incidents are investigated, root causes ascertained and learnings implemented in operations.
• First line support for troubleshooting in operations

Critical experience
