Talent Corner Hr Services is seeking a chemistry professional to join our R&D technical services team in Navi Mumbai. The role focuses on developing construction chemical products, conducting rigorous laboratory tests and trials, and ensuring compliance with IS/ASTM/EN standards.

The candidate will evaluate raw materials, support scale-up, prepare data sheets, and conduct site demonstrations to prove product performance. Travel to customer sites will be required.

Formación

• B.Sc. in Chemistry is mandatory.
• 13 years of relevant experience in product development or technical services within construction chemicals.
• Hands-on laboratory testing experience with admixtures, waterproofing materials, repair mortars, grouts, sealants or coatings.
• Knowledge of concrete and cement chemistry and testing standards.
• Good communication skills in English and Hindi; Marathi a plus.

Role & responsibilities

• Assist the R&D Manager in developing, formulating and optimising construction chemical products.
• Conduct laboratory tests and trials on raw materials, formulations and finished products.
• Perform product testing in accordance with relevant IS, ASTM and EN standards.
• Evaluate alternative raw materials based on cost, quality, performance and availability.
• Maintain laboratory records, formulation sheets, test reports and technical documentation.
• Support the scale-up of new products from laboratory development to production.
• Prepare technical data sheets, application guidelines and method statements.
• Conduct site trials, product demonstrations and mock-ups to establish product performance.
• Recommend suitable products and dosage based on site conditions and material requirements.
• Monitor on-site applications, collect performance data and prepare technical reports.
• Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with R&D, QC and Production teams to prevent recurring product issues.
• Provide technical assistance for tenders, product specifications and customer queries.
• Stay updated on construction chemical technologies, competitor products and industry standards.

Candidate Requirements

• B.Sc. in Chemistry is mandatory.
• 13 years of relevant experience in product development or technical services within the construction chemicals industry.
• Hands-on experience in laboratory testing of products such as admixtures, waterproofing materials, repair mortars, grouts, sealants or coatings.
• Working knowledge of concrete chemistry, cement chemistry and relevant testing standards.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Good communication skills in English and Hindi; Marathi is an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites in Mumbai, Pune and surrounding areas.

Preferred Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Chemistry, preferably in Organic, Inorganic, Physical or Polymer Chemistry.
• Experience in field trials, technical site support or customer complaint investigation.
• Knowledge of polymer formulations, concrete admixtures or cementitious products.
• Familiarity with laboratory testing procedures and MS Excel.
