Project Planning & Execution
- Lead and manage multiple IT projects – some in direct ownership, others in collaboration with Development, Operations and Analytics teams
- Shape and refine project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
- Coordinate across project teams, ensuring effective communication, task assignment, and progress tracking
- Proactively monitor and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary
- Follow defined project governance frameworks to ensure projects keep affected teams updated
- Conduct thorough reviews of project deliverables to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards
- Apply a strong understanding of IT foundations covering areas such as Infrastructure, Software Development Lifecycle, and Product Management
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement solutions within agreed time and quality constraints
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, addressing challenges and facilitating problem‑solving to remove blockers
- Work across the Digital/IT team on complex use‑cases, translating technical concepts and communicating in a way others find easy to understand
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders including Directors and Senior Managers
- Coach other team members across IT in reviewing their plans and providing best‑practice guidance
- Work in partnership with vendors to deliver outcomes that help drive cost‑effective digital capability for Fleet
Relationship (Internal & External)
- Internal:
- Stakeholders (based predominantly in HK, Singapore and India)
- Internal IT Team (across HK/India in particular)
Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications
ESSENTIAL – Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of proven experience in IT project management delivering tangible, transformative business results
- Experience directly handling multiple projects in parallel, including managing plans and budgets
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, focused on practical and efficient solutions
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, systems development life cycle (SDLC), and software engineering fundamentals
- Hands‑on experience managing multiple IT vendors and demonstrating strong partnership development
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly, manage changing priorities, and maintain composure under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
DESIRABLE – Additional Skills
- Working experience with Agile methodologies and techniques (e.g., Scrum, XP, Lean)
- Experience delivering technology solutions in maritime, logistics, transportation, or other safety‑critical regulated industries
- Foundation‑level Project Management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2
- Cloud platform familiarity (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or associated technical certifications

Ensures tasks and projects within responsibility areas meet promises made and acknowledges mistakes openly, identifying learnings to be applied. Takes a leadership role in supporting colleagues through business change initiatives, identifying improvements aligned with changing business strategies, and putting themselves in the shoes of those impacted when implementing change.
