Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Location: GOP - Perungalathur Office, Chennai

Work Mode: Work from Office (5 days a week)

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of web and mobile application development, enhancements, and maintenance/support projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical understanding, experience managing cross-functional teams (Applications+Infra+Network), and proven capability in handling both project delivery and support operations. This role requires strong stakeholder management, planning, and documentation skills, along with the ability to work effectively with onsite/offshore teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Execution

• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, sprint plans, and release schedules.
• Plan, allocate, and manage resources across development and support teams.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of development, enhancements, and support services.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies with mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, secure coding practices, and compliance guidelines.
• Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Technical & Functional Leadership

• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, UI/UX, and DevOps teams.
• Review technical solutions, user stories, design approaches, and estimations.
• Support integrations with APIs, cloud platforms, backend systems, and mobile frameworks.
• Ensure smooth deployment and release management across environments.
• Track team performance, utilization, and productivity.
• Mentor team members and promote continuous process improvements.

Support Management

• Oversee L2/L3 application support, incident management, and service request handling.
• Track and ensure compliance with SLAs, uptime, and performance metrics.
• Facilitate RCA, corrective actions, and preventive measures for recurring issues.
• Coordinate production deployments, hotfixes, and stabilization activities.

Business & Customer Engagement

• Act as the primary contact for customers, business owners, and vendor partners.
• Provide timely communication on project status, risks, and milestones.
• Manage escalations effectively and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Participate in customer walkthroughs, solution discussions, and governance meetings.

RFP & Documentation Expertise

• Collaborate with solution architects, technical leads, and presales teams to prepare RFP/RFI responses, including solution approach, delivery model, and effort estimations.
• Apply proven effort estimation techniques (WBS, function points, story points, analogy-based, etc.).
• Draft, review, and manage project-related documents including Statements of Work (SOW), project charters, resource plans, RAID logs, and status reports.

Required Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of experience in IT with at least 3-5 years in project management or technical leadership.
• Strong technical understanding of web (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular, Drupal) and mobile (iOS/Android) applications.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Network Operations and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience handling development and maintenance/support projects.
• Hands-on experience with RFP responses, SOW drafting, effort estimation, and resource planning.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum and tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence or similar.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Healthcare, Health Insurance, or other regulated domains.
• Certifications such as PMP, CSM, ITIL, SAFe, Prince2.
• Exposure to DevOps, application monitoring tools, and cloud-native solutions.
