Job summary

AMD in Hyderabad, India seeks an experienced Program Manager in EDA to own end-to-end solutions for innovative products. You will oversee software development, manage quality and schedules, and partner with customer support teams to ensure successful delivery.

• Identify actions or mitigations for issues or risks during the lifecycle.
• Collaborates with core and execution teams to identify areas needing escalation or corrective actions.
• Collect, analyze, organize and publish performance data via dashboards and reports.
• Strong self-motivation and crisis management skills.

Program Manager in EDA

The Role

As the Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to manage End-to-End ownership of overall solutions for innovativeproducts. Solid program management of various software development teams, monitoring the quality of the resulting software deliverables and a strong partnership with the customer support teams are the key focus area of this role.

The Person

The right candidate will have solid knowledge of program management, impeccable track record of delivering complex software programs, and experience with Device Drivers, Firmware, Graphics technology, SOC product development and customer facing experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute programs focusing on quality and deadlines
• Drives completion of all required deliverables, with a focus on customer quality feedback and established deadlines
• Creates and maintains project management artifacts such as schedule, resource and resource forecast, risk and issues logs
• Cross-Geography coordination to ensure all stakholders are aligned
• Chip Life-cycle tracking all the way from planning to prototype to execution to production release
• Provides unique views of project status updates and facilitates cross development team dependencies and communications
• Identify action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle
• Collaborates with core teams and execution teams to identify areas that require special attention or escalations to identify corrective actions
• Collect, analyze, organize and publish work performance data via dashboards and recurring status reports
• Strong self-motivator, with a sense of urgency when needed and strong crisis management skills

Preferred Experience

• Proven Project & Program Management experience in dynamic and competitive industry, particularly within Software Development or Engineering based organizations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Chip Life Cycle Tracking in rollout of devices in a Software Organization with relevant EDA industry experience is preferred
• Proven Cross-Geography Coordination experience
• Horizontal leadership/Matrix management experience is required, People management is desirable
• Flexible working schedule to manage global program execution team (Asia and North America emphasis)
• PMPcertification is required
• Agiledevelopment or certification is a bonus

Academic Credentials

• 8+ Years of Program Management Experience in EDA or related compaines
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is desired
