Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is looking for a Program Manager in EDA to own end-to-end solutions for cutting-edge products. You will oversee software development teams, ensure high-quality deliverables, and partner with customer support to drive successful outcomes.

The ideal candidate brings proven program management experience in software/EDA, strong knowledge of device drivers, firmware, graphics tech, and SOC development, plus cross-geo leadership and agile practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Program Management experience in EDA or related fields.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute programs focusing on quality and deadlines.
• Drives completion of all required deliverables with focus on customer quality feedback and deadlines.
• Creates and maintains project management artifacts such as schedule, resource forecast, risk and issues logs.
• Cross-Geography coordination to ensure all stakeholders are aligned.
• Chip life-cycle tracking from planning to prototype to production release.
• Publishes work status updates and coordinates dependencies across teams.
• Identify corrective actions for issues or risks that arise during the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with core and execution teams to address escalation areas.
• Publish dashboards and status reports for informed decision making.

Program Manager in EDA

THE ROLE:

As the Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to manage End-to-End ownership of overall solutions for innovative products. Solid program management of various software development teams, monitoring the quality of the resulting software deliverables and a strong partnership with the customer support teams are the key focus area of this role.

THE PERSON:

The right candidate will have solid knowledge of program management, impeccable track record of delivering complex software programs, and experience with Device Drivers, Firmware, Graphics technology, SOC product development and customer facing experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and execute programs focusing on quality and deadlines
• Drives completion of all required deliverables, with a focus on customer quality feedback and established deadlines
• Creates and maintains project management artifacts such as schedule, resource and resource forecast, risk and issues logs
• Cross-Geography coordination to ensure all stakholders are aligned
• Chip Life-cycle tracking all the way from planning to prototype to execution to production release
• Provides unique views of project status updates and facilitates cross development team dependencies and communications
• Identify action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle
• Collaborates with core teams and execution teams to identify areas that require special attention or escalations to identify corrective actions
• Collect, analyze, organize and publish work performance data via dashboards and recurring status reports
• Strong self-motivator, with a sense of urgency when needed and strong crisis management skills

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Proven Project & Program Management experience in dynamic and competitive industry, particularly within Software Development or Engineering based organizations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Chip Life Cycle Tracking in rollout of devices in a Software Organization with relevant EDA industry experience is preferred
• Proven Cross-Geography Coordination experience
• Horizontal leadership/Matrix management experience is required, People management is desirable
• Flexible working schedule to manage global program execution team (Asia and North America emphasis)
• PMPcertification is required
• Agile development or certification is a bonus

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• 8+ Years of Program Management Experience in EDA or related compaines
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is desired
