Job summary

boAt Lifestyle seeks a senior leader to drive end-to-end product development programs in Mumbai, coordinating with ODM partners, cross-functional teams, and senior stakeholders.

You will own the NPD lifecycle from ideation through prototyping and production, ensure on-time delivery, quality, and alignment with business goals, while managing risks and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• Master's or MBA in Operations or Product Management is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in product development and project management in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• ODM coordination and collaboration with Product Managers for specs, timelines, and quality.
• Drive New Product Development lifecycle from ideation to final production.
• Coordinate with R&D, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Design, Sales, and Operations.
• Develop and manage project plans, track milestones, mitigate risks and delays.
• Lead quality control and ensure regulatory compliance before launch.
• Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Maintain effective communication about scope, status, and changes.

Job description

The role is focused on leading end-to-end product development programs, coordinating with ODM partners, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring products are delivered on time, within quality standards, and aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• ODM Coordination & Collaboration : Lead interactions with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs). Coordinate with Product Managers to ensure product specifications, timelines, and quality standards align with the overall product strategy.
• Product Development & Lifecycle Management : Drive the complete New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle from Ideation, Concept design, Prototyping, Testing, Final production. Ensure products meet customer expectations and business objectives.
• Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Design, Sales, Operations. Ensure product features, cost targets, and timelines are achieved.
• Project Planning & Execution : Develop and manage project plans, Track milestones, deliverables, and timelines. Identify and mitigate risks, delays, and quality issues to support on-time launches.
• Quality Control & Compliance : Ensure products comply with industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements, Lead quality control and testing activities before product launch.
• Timeline Management & Reporting : Manage development schedules. Provide regular progress updates, report risks, and recommend resolution strategies to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management : Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders. Keep Product Managers informed about project status, timeline changes, and scope updates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, Production, Industrial, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is required.
• A Master's degree or MBA in Operations, Product Management, or a related field will be an added advantage.
• 10+ years of experience in Product Development, Project Management in Manufacturing environments
• Candidates from Electronics, Auto, Manufacturing sector will be preferred.
• Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
