TransUnion's Job Applicant Privacy Notice Team Overview

The SSPM team consists of dedicated consultants supporting key enterprise SaaS platforms, including Salesforce, Workday, and other business-critical applications. The team is responsible for identifying, assessing, and remediating security vulnerabilities, configuration risks, and compliance gaps identified through the Obsidian SSPM platform. The Technical Product Manager will provide overall leadership and governance for the SSPM program, ensuring that security findings are appropriately prioritized, assigned, tracked, and remediated.

This role will coordinate across application teams, Cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to drive timely closure of vulnerabilities, reduce organizational risk, and continuously improve the security posture of enterprise SaaS applications. The Technical Product Manager will also own the SSPM roadmap, remediation metrics, reporting, and governance processes to ensure accountability and successful delivery of security objectives.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

SSPM Technical Product Manager – Role & Responsibilities

The SSPM Technical Product Manager is accountable for the successful execution of the SaaS Security Posture Management program across enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Workday, and other critical SaaS platforms. While platform consultants are responsible for implementing fixes, the Technical Product Manager ensures vulnerabilities are prioritized, tracked, governed, and remediated in alignment with business and security objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the SSPM product strategy, roadmap, and governance framework across all supported SaaS platforms.
• Serve as the central point of coordination between Cybersecurity, Application Teams, Enterprise Architecture, Compliance, and business stakeholders.
• Review and prioritize vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and security findings identified through the Obsidian SSPM platform.
• Create and manage remediation plans, ensuring findings are assigned to the appropriate Salesforce, Workday, or other platform consultants.
• Track remediation progress, risks, dependencies, and timelines to ensure timely closure of security findings.
• Establish KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting to provide visibility into security posture and risk reduction efforts.
• Drive cross-functional decision-making and remove roadblocks impacting remediation activities.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, audit requirements, SOX controls, and enterprise governance policies.
• Identify trends and recurring issues, driving strategic improvements to reduce future vulnerabilities.
• Manage stakeholder communications and provide regular updates to leadership on remediation status, risk exposure, and program effectiveness.

Required Knowledge And Experiences

Required Knowledge & Experience – SSPM Technical Product Manager

• 12-18 years of experience in Product Management, Technical Program Management, Cybersecurity, SaaS Platforms, or Enterprise Applications.
• Strong understanding of SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM), cloud security principles, vulnerability management, and risk remediation processes.
• Experience working with enterprise SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, or similar business-critical applications.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Security, Engineering, Architecture, Compliance, and Business stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, security governance, risk management, and compliance requirements, including SOX, ISO 27001, NIST, or similar standards.
• Experience prioritizing and managing remediation of security vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and compliance findings across multiple platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to define product roadmaps, manage backlogs, establish KPIs, and drive execution against strategic objectives.
• Experience with SSPM, CSPM, SIEM, vulnerability management, or security monitoring tools such as Obsidian, Wiz, Palo Alto Prisma, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk, determine business impact, and drive remediation decisions.
• Experience creating executive dashboards, metrics, and reporting for leadership teams.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, project management practices, and software development lifecycles.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to work across global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing enterprise security, governance, or risk reduction programs.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, PMP, SAFe Product Manager, or equivalent.
• Experience leading SaaS security transformation or governance initiatives in large enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM), security architecture, and enterprise application governance.
