Job summary

TransUnion is seeking a DevelopmentOpsEngineer to support release operations and DevOps quality across AI and IT teams, working both virtually and in-person at a TransUnion office for a minimum of two days a week. The role emphasizes Git-based workflows, CI/CD, and collaboration in a SAFe Agile framework.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Quality Engineering, Release Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Git-based workflows, including branching, pull requests, and code review practices.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms.
• Familiarity with security scanning tools such as SonarQube, Checkmarx, or similar.
• Basic understanding of change management processes and exposure to enterprise patch management.
• Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and Oracle Database concepts.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote Git workflow standards, branching strategies, and repository governance practices.
• Review pull requests and validate compliance with defined quality, security, and release requirements.
• Assist in coordinating release activities and validating release readiness across deployment environments.
• Support change management processes by preparing documentation and obtaining required approvals.
• Monitor and support CI/CD pipelines, repositories, and development lab environments.
• Execute patching and release activities; investigate and resolve dev lab incidents; escalate as appropriate.
• Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and execution.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support implementation of operational efficiencies.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for environments, processes, and operational procedures.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

Supports release operations and DevOps quality for the ART. This role executes release and patching activities, supports CI/CD pipelines and dev lab environments, and provides front‑line DevOps support to development teams.

• Experience with security scanning tools such as SonarQube, Checkmarx, or Corgea is an advantage
• Basic understanding of change management processes and exposure to enterprise patch management and software release processes
• Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and server fundamentals, and a foundational understanding of Oracle Database concepts
