Job summary

The ideal candidate will lead data analysis, propose optimization strategies, and mentor service staff while collaborating with sales and operations to support audits and proposals. Strong communication in English is essential.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in industrial water treatment (cooling towers, boilers, RO plants, softeners).
• Strong knowledge of water chemistry and system hydraulics.
• Experience with large industrial clients and technical troubleshooting.
• Excellent English communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve issues in Cooling Water, Boiler Water, RO, and Softener systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis for scaling, corrosion, fouling, and microbiological problems.
• Provide corrective action plans and dosing recommendations.
• Visit client sites to evaluate performance and suggest optimization strategies.
• Support service engineers and build strong client relationships.
• Review water testing data and prepare performance reports and recommendations.
• Mentor the service team on best practices and training.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Technical Manager with a strong background in industrial water treatment systems. The ideal candidate will lead troubleshooting and performance improvement initiatives for our key client sites, ensuring consistent technical excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Cooling Water, Boiler Water, RO, and Softener systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis for scaling, corrosion, fouling, and microbiological problems.
• Provide corrective action plans and dosing recommendations.

Client Site Management

• Visit major client sites to evaluate system performance and recommend optimization strategies.
• Support service engineers in implementing water treatment programs effectively.
• Build strong client relationships through technical credibility and timely response.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Review and analyze water testing data from various sites.
• Prepare detailed performance reports, troubleshooting summaries, and treatment recommendations using Excel/Google Sheets.
• Present findings to clients and internal stakeholders.

Team Support & Training

• Guide and mentor the service team on technical best practices.
• Conduct internal and client-side training sessions on system operations, chemical handling, and troubleshooting techniques.

Process Understanding

• Leverage understanding of industrial processes (chemical, manufacturing, power, etc.) to tailor treatment programs.
• Work closely with sales and operations teams to support technical proposals and audits.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial water treatment (cooling towers, boilers, RO plants, softeners, etc.).
• Strong understanding of water chemistry, treatment chemistry, and system hydraulics.
• Proven experience handling large industrial clients and troubleshooting complex systems.
• Excellent English communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and general professional tools (reporting, email, CRM, ERP, etc.).
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to prepare client reports and presentations.
• Ability to travel to client sites as required.
