Job summary

Aptiv in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a Technical Leader – ADAS Algorithm Development to drive the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of ADAS algorithms for safety features across automotive platforms.

You will lead embedded C/C++ implementations, MATLAB/Simulink workflows, and cross-functional collaboration with global teams, customers, and stakeholders to bring algorithms from concept to production while mentoring engineers and ensuring engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, CS, Robotics, Automotive) and/or Master’s preferred.
• 6–9 years in Automotive Embedded Software or ADAS Algorithm Development.
• Strong hands-on Embedded C/C++ software development.
• Proven MATLAB and Simulink-based development experience.
• Experience with ADAS features such as ACC/AEB or related safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, integration, testing, and release of ADAS algorithms (ACC, AEB, related features).
• Design and develop embedded software in C/C++ with performance and robustness.
• Collaborate with global teams, customers, and stakeholders to integrate algorithm stacks.
• Utilize MATLAB/Simulink-based methodologies to analyze, validate, optimize, and enhance algorithm performance.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and support customer-facing discussions.

YOUR ROLE

As a Technical Leader – ADAS Algorithm Development , you will lead the design, development, integration, and deployment of advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) algorithms that power next-generation vehicle safety features. You will work closely with global platform teams, customer engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to bring innovative automotive safety solutions from concept to production.

You will play a key role in developing algorithms for functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), lane-related safety features, and other advanced safety applications while providing technical leadership and driving engineering excellence across projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, integration, testing, and release of ADAS algorithms for automotive safety applications such as ACC, AEB, and related driver assistance features.
• Design and develop high-quality embedded software solutions using C and C++ while ensuring performance, scalability, and robustness.
• Collaborate with global platform teams, customers, and project stakeholders to successfully integrate algorithm stacks into customer programs.
• Utilize MATLAB/Simulink-based development methodologies to analyze, validate, optimize, and enhance algorithm performance.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, drive problem-solving activities, and support customer-facing technical discussions.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Robotics, Automotive Engineering, or related discipline); Master’s degree preferred.
• 6–9 years of experience in Automotive Embedded Software Development and/or ADAS Algorithm Development.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Embedded C and C++ software development.
• Proven experience with MATLAB and Simulink‑based development.
• Experience developing or integrating ADAS features such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), or related safety systems.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities with the ability to work in a customer‑facing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture and automotive software frameworks.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, FlexRay, and Ethernet.
• Experience with ASPICE processes, configuration management, and CI/CD tools.
• Exposure to model‑based development, algorithm optimization, and automotive software integration.
• Experience working in global, cross‑functional automotive programs.
