Job summary

Aptiv Bengaluru is seeking an experienced senior embedded software engineer to architect and develop low-level modules for automotive SoCs. You will implement OS-level primitives, design IPC mechanisms, and maintain camera drivers and vision pipelines across Linux, QNX, and VxWorks.

You will work with GStreamer/OpenVX/OpenCL in real-time, safety-critical environments, collaborating with TI, Renesas, NXP, and Qualcomm SoCs, while ensuring ISO 26262 and AUTOSAR compliance.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/ME/MTech in Electricals/Electronics/Instrumentation.
• 7–10 years of experience in Automotive or related field.
• Operating System primitives: Threads, semaphores, mutexes, socket programming.
• IPC mechanisms: Named pipes, shared memory.
• Low-level software design patterns: Embedded design principles.
• Vision pipeline development: GStreamer, OpenVX, OpenCL.
• Device drivers: Camera drivers, vision pipeline, embedded file operations.
• Thread synchronization & inter-core communication: Queuing, thread alignment.
• Version control: Git, Gerrit.
• SoC experience: TI, Renesas, NXP, Qualcomm automotive SoCs.
• OS experience: Linux system programming, QNX, VxWorks.

• Develop and maintain device drivers (camera, vision pipeline) and embedded file operations.
• Work on Linux, QNX, VxWorks system programming for real-time and safety-critical apps.
• Utilize frameworks like GStreamer, OpenVX, OpenCL for vision and multimedia pipelines.
• Implement thread synchronization, queuing, thread alignment, and inter-core communication.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration and validation on SoCs from TI, Renesas, NXP, Qualcomm.
• Apply low-level software design patterns and problem-solving for embedded systems.
• Manage version control and code reviews (Git, Gerrit).
• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and AUTOSAR automotive standards.

YOUR ROLE

Your Background & Skills Needed

• A graduate in BE/B.Tech/ ME/ M.Tech (Electricals/Electronics/ Instrumentation)

• An experience of 7-10 years in Automotive or related field
