Job summary

Extio Technology And Consulting Llp seeks a results-driven tech lead to own end-to-end delivery of Apache Camel based projects. You will engage directly with clients, translate requirements into tasks, and guide the Java team through design, development and deployment.

The role emphasizes hands-on Java, Spring Boot and Camel, with strong coordination across QA, DevOps and business stakeholders to ensure timely, quality releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in Java/J2EE application development with leadership and delivery coordination.
• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Boot and Apache Camel.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, microservices, integration patterns and enterprise application architecture.
• Hands-on with Apache Camel routes, components, processors, exception handling and integration patterns.
• Good understanding of PostgreSQL/Oracle/MySQL databases.
• Experience with Maven/Gradle, Git and CI/CD tools.
• Linux and deployment environments understanding; client-facing requirement gathering.
• Experience coordinating with QA teams for test planning and release sign-off.
• End-to-end ownership mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of Apache Camel-based projects and integrations from requirements to production release.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to define deliverables and expectations.
• Translate business requirements into technical tasks and implementation plans.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Java development team.
• Contribute to development and troubleshooting using Java, Spring Boot and Camel.
• Break down requirements, assign tasks, and track progress against timelines.
• Review technical designs and code where required.
• Coordinate with QA for test coverage, defect resolution and QA sign-off.
• Coordinate DevOps and infrastructure for deployment and release activities.
• Coordinate UAT with clients, manage feedback and ensure issues are addressed.
• Ensure release readiness, testing and successful deployment.
• Monitor risks, dependencies, blockers and timelines; drive resolution.
• Provide regular status updates and escalation reports to management.
• Ensure requirements are met before release; support post-release stabilization.
• Continuously improve development, testing, release and delivery processes.

Role & Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of Apache Camel-based projects and integrations from requirement gathering through production release.
• Engage directly with clients/business stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify functional expectations and define deliverables.
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements, development tasks and implementation plans.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Java development team.
• Strongly contribute to development and troubleshooting using Java, Spring Boot and Apache Camel.
• Break down requirements into tasks, assign work to team members and track progress against agreed timelines.
• Review technical designs, implementation approaches and code where required.
• Work closely with QA to ensure adequate test coverage, defect resolution and completion of QA sign-off.
• Coordinate with DevOps/Infrastructure teams for deployment, environment readiness and release activities.
• Coordinate UAT with clients, manage feedback and ensure issues are addressed within agreed timelines.
• Own release readiness and ensure deliverables are completed, tested and deployed successfully.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 510 years of experience in Java/J2EE application development, with relevant experience in technical leadership and delivery coordination.
• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Boot and Apache Camel.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, integration patterns and enterprise application architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Camel routes, components, processors, exception handling and integration patterns.
• Good understanding of databases, preferably PostgreSQL/Oracle/MySQL.
• Experience with Maven/Gradle, Git and CI/CD tools.
• Good understanding of Linux and application deployment environments.
• Experience working directly with clients/business teams for requirement gathering and clarification.
• Proven experience in task planning, team coordination, delivery tracking and technical problem-solving.
• Experience coordinating with QA teams for test planning, defect resolution and release sign-off.
• Experience managing UAT, production releases and post-release support.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple requirements, priorities and dependencies simultaneously.
• Should be comfortable taking end-to-end ownership of assigned projects and deliverables.
• Prior experience in fintech, banking, payments or enterprise integration will be an added advantage.
