Job summary

People Impact is seeking a Java Tech Lead to guide design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade Java applications. You will mentor engineers, enforce coding standards, and collaborate with architects, QA, and product stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.

The role requires deep Java expertise (Spring Boot, Microservices), RESTful APIs, and full-stack collaboration with ReactJS. Hybrid work model and ongoing leadership development are offered.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
• 3+ years of experience leading development teams as a Tech Lead.
• Expert knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Microservices architecture.
• Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with ReactJS for full-stack development.
• Knowledge of MongoDB and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle/SQL Server).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

We are seeking an experienced Java Tech Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade Java applications. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and modern application architecture, along with proven experience leading high-performing engineering teams.

As a technical leader, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence, mentoring developers, ensuring high-quality code delivery, and collaborating with architects, product owners, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Java engineers through the complete software development lifecycle.
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Build secure, scalable, and high-performance RESTful APIs.
• Provide technical leadership by defining architecture, coding standards, and development best practices.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, security, and performance.
• Guide the team in designing distributed systems and integrating messaging solutions using Kafka.
• Collaborate with frontend developers for full-stack feature delivery using ReactJS where required.
• Design and optimize MongoDB and relational database schemas, queries, and performance.
• Drive CI/CD implementation and release automation using Jenkins.
• Work closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Estimate work, plan sprint activities, identify risks, and ensure timely delivery of commitments.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level developers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Resolve complex production issues and provide technical support during critical releases.
• Communicate project status, technical decisions, and delivery progress with business stakeholders and onshore teams.
• Continuously improve engineering practices, application performance, security, and scalability.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of hands‑on experience in Java application development.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience leading development teams as a Tech Lead.
• Expert knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Microservices architecture.
• Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Good experience with ReactJS for full-stack application development.
• Strong knowledge of MongoDB and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming, design patterns, and clean coding principles.
• Experience with Git and modern version control practices.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is desirable.

• Experience in Financial Services, Banking, or Capital Markets domain is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in Java, Cloud, or Agile methodologies are an added advantage.
