Job summary

Smart Essencial India seeks an experienced Lead for Home Automation and AV Integration to supervise installation engineers, programmers, technicians, and site teams across luxury residential and commercial projects. You will plan execution, train staff, and coordinate with architects and electricians to meet installation standards and project timelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, AV Engineering, or related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in Home Automation, AV Integration, Smart Homes, or Luxury Residential Projects.
• Experience handling multiple premium residential or commercial projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of site execution, commissioning, and client handover.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise installation engineers, programmers, technicians, and site teams.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity and project progress.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to team members.
• Conduct technical training and ensure adherence to installation standards.
• Coordinate manpower planning across multiple project sites.
• Manage end-to-end execution of automation, lighting, audio, and home theatre projects.
• Prepare project schedules, execution plans, and installation timelines.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, consultants, electricians, and civil teams.
• Monitor project milestones and ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and progress reporting.
• Handle commissioning, testing, snag resolution, and project handover.
• Prepare detailed BOQs for Home Automation, Home Theatre, Lighting Control, Audio, and AV systems.
• Create technical proposals, equipment schedules, cable schedules, and wiring requirements.
• Prepare material quantity calculations and project costing inputs.
• Review architectural drawings and coordinate technical layouts.
• Prepare installation drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Maintain accurate revision records and as-built documentation.
• Design integrated solutions for luxury residential and commercial projects.
• Create Home Theatre layouts including speaker placement, projector selection, screen positioning, and acoustic recommendations.
• Design multi-room audio and background music systems.
• Develop automation architecture for lighting, curtains, climate, security, and entertainment.
• Coordinate electrical load requirements and low-voltage infrastructure planning.
• Recommend suitable products based on project requirements and technical feasibility.
• Program and commission automation systems wherever applicable.
• Configure KNX and other automation ecosystems.
• Integrate wired and wireless devices into a unified control system.
• Perform testing, debugging, calibration, and optimization of complete systems.
• Ensure seamless integration between AV, automation, lighting, and networking systems.
• Design Dolby Atmos, 5.1, 7.1, and immersive surround sound systems.
• Perform speaker calibration, DSP tuning, delay alignment, and audio optimization.
• Configure AV receivers, processors, amplifiers, matrix switchers, and control interfaces.
• Understand HDMI distribution, video transmission, HDBaseT, and AV-over-IP concepts.
• Conduct final audio-video performance testing before handover.
• Coordinate with architects and designers during design development.
• Attend client technical meetings and provide engineering solutions.
• Review MEP coordination requirements for automation and AV infrastructure.
• Resolve technical challenges during execution with practical site solutions.
• Support the sales team with technical presentations and solution discussions whenever required.
