SimplifyX is seeking a Technical Lead for Forward Deployed Engineering in Pune, India. You will own end-to-end delivery of production agentic AI solutions for large BFS clients, working directly with client teams and senior stakeholders.

You will lead a high-caliber engineering team, shape the FDE practice, and ensure secure, scalable deployments across client environments. Hybrid onsite work is available.

About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Lead – Forward Deployed Engineering to lead applied AI delivery for large banking and financial services enterprises across the US. This is a senior, client‑facing role at the intersection of enterprise AI engineering, BFS domain expertise, and technical leadership.

As a Technical Lead FDE, you will own the end‑to‑end delivery of production agentic AI solutions — from initial discovery and solution design through to deployment and client handoff. You will work directly with client engineering, business, and operations teams, lead a high‑caliber engineering team, and engage with senior stakeholders to drive measurable business outcomes. You will also play a key role in shaping the FDE practice at SimplifyX as we scale.

What You Will Do

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of production‑grade agentic AI solutions for enterprise banking and financial services clients.
• Work directly with client teams — engineering, business, and operations — to understand real‑world problems and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Architect and deploy multi‑agent AI systems, RAG pipelines, LLM applications, and document intelligence solutions in production environments.
• Engage with CXO and senior client stakeholders to present solutions, communicate progress, and drive adoption.
• Lead and mentor a team of Forward Deployed Engineers, owning technical direction, code quality, and delivery timelines.
• Drive solution design decisions including agentic framework selection, retrieval architecture, evaluation strategy, and observability.
• Define and enforce enterprise standards around security, data confidentiality, access controls, and auditability across client deployments.
• Contribute to product development thinking — help shape internal tooling, reusable frameworks, and IP that can be leveraged across client engagements.
• Represent SimplifyX externally in client meetings, technical workshops, and solution presentations.

What We Are Looking For

• 12–18 years of overall experience with a strong track record in AI/ML engineering and client‑facing delivery.
• Degree from a premier institution (IIT or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience building and deploying production multi‑agent AI systems using frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Google ADK, OpenAI Agents SDK, or MCP.
• Deep expertise in LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini) and RAG pipelines — including hybrid retrieval, re‑ranking, embeddings, vector databases, and evaluation frameworks.
• Strong Python engineering skills with experience writing production‑quality code in shared, large‑scale codebases.
• Proven experience working directly with enterprise clients — translating business problems into technical solutions and presenting outcomes to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams in fast‑paced, client‑delivery environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong domain knowledge in banking, financial services, fintech, insurance, capital markets, lending, or payments.
• Excellent communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to engage confidently at the CXO level.

Good to Have

• Experience co‑founding or contributing to a technology product from inception to delivery.
• Hands‑on experience with LLM fine‑tuning, evaluation pipelines, or observability tools such as LangSmith or RAGAS.
• Certifications in AI/ML or financial services (FRM, CFA, or equivalent).
• Experience with agentic protocols such as MCP or A2A.
• Familiarity with TypeScript or Go in addition to Python.
• Prior experience in a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, or AI Consulting role.
• Lead real‑world AI deployments for large US‑based banking and financial services enterprises.
• Work at the cutting edge of agentic AI — multi‑agent systems, MCP, RAG, and LLM fine‑tuning in production.
• Own and shape the FDE practice at a rapidly scaling AI company.
• Work alongside deep domain experts and world‑class engineers.
• High‑visibility role with direct client engagement at senior levels.
