Job summary

Incresco in Coimbatore seeks a hands-on software engineer with 6-8 years of production coding experience to own critical builds and lead by delivering the hardest parts themselves.

You will work with Python, React, and React Native across cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP), shipping production code weekly and guiding technical decisions with clients. This is not a management role; influence comes from code, reviews, and reliable delivery commitments.

Responsibilities

• Own the build: design, write, review, and ship production code weekly.
• Develop and maintain agentic systems: LLM-driven features in production, agents and tool calls.
• Set and uphold technical standards: design reviews with a small engineering team.
• Own delivery: scope, estimate, sequence, and commit dates, signaling risks early.
• Engage in technical discussions with clients about requirements and trade-offs.

Job description

This is a hands-on engineering role. You will write production code every day, and you will lead by building the hardest parts yourself.

It is not a management role. There is no team to administer, no appraisal cycle, no delivery meetings in place of engineering. If you have moved away from daily coding, this role will not suit you.

Our Primary tech stack:

• Whatever else the client needs

What you will own:

• The build. Production code every week, on the parts that matter most. Design, write, review, ship.
• Agentic systems. LLM-driven features running in production for clients. Agents, tool calling, retrieval, evaluation, and the cost and latency behind each choice.
• The technical standard. Design and code reviews for two or three engineers working alongside you.
• Delivery. Scope, estimate, sequence and commitment date. When a date is at risk you raise it before it moves.
• Technical discussions with clients. Requirements, trade-offs, and what is possible by when.

Requirements:

• 6-8 years in software engineering, hands-on throughout
• Python, with production depth
• React, and React Native for mobile
• Cloud in production on AWS, Azure or GCP, deployed and operated by you
• Production code written in the last 90 days
• An LLM or agent feature you have built and shipped to production
• Experience leading engineers technically, through reviews, standards and design decisions
• Delivery ownership: you have carried a date and answered for it
• Able to work hybrid from Coimbatore

Preferred:

• Both startup and large-organisation experience
• Daily use of AI engineering tools such as Claude, Cursor or Copilot, with a clear view of where they help and where they mislead
• You follow the field closely and form views by building with new models and tooling rather than reading about them
• Client-facing experience, in India or abroad
