About Us
It is a product-focused technology company building platforms that simplify complex Cloud, HPC, AI/ML, Kubernetes, and scientific computing infrastructure. Its solutions help engineering and R&D teams make infrastructure more scalable, secure, automated, and self-service.
Role Overview
We are looking for a hands‑on Technical Lead to drive engineering delivery in a high‑velocity product development environment. This role combines strong individual technical contribution with team leadership —
the ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing production‑grade Python code, architecting AWS‑based solutions, and leading a team of engineers through fast‑paced sprint cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Capabilities in AWS Solution Architecture
- Design, build, and orchestrate solutions using core AWS services, including EKS, Lambda, Batch, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, CFTs, Event Bridge, S3 and Step Functions.
- Working with Elastic Search or Open Search database services.
- Manage and optimize cloud cost governance using tagging strategies and cost allocation best practices.
- Working experience with cost usage reports from AWS.
- Orchestrate AWS service APIs and functions directly from Python code, building reliable, automated, and scalable workflows.
- Engineering & Code Quality
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Python programming, writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Conduct thorough pull request (PR) reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Own code coverage from a performance and scalability standpoint, not just functional correctness.
- Partner closely with QA teams to define test coverage strategy and ensure comprehensive validation of features.
- Team & Sprint Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of 5 engineers, fostering technical growth and accountability.
- Own the execution, and delivery of engineering sprints in an agile environment. You will work under product managers who will take overall responsibility of the product release.
- Take full ownership of a sprint's quality and technical delivery, ensuring commitments are met without compromising standards.
- Operate effectively within a high‑velocity, fast‑iteration product environment, balancing speed with engineering rigor.
- Work closely with CTO and infrastructure team to streamline and automate production hygiene - from installation, configuration to support.
- CI/CD & Engineering Automation
- Work with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment automation, and engineering productivity practices.
- Production Reliability & Observability
- Design and operate production‑grade systems with appropriate logging, monitoring, alerting, error handling, and resilience
- Technical Architecture
- Own technical architecture and design decisions, evaluating trade‑offs across scalability, performance, reliability, maintainability, and cost.
- AI‑Assisted Engineering
- Use AI tools and practices to accelerate software development, testing, documentation, and engineering workflows, with demonstrable productivity or quality improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Proven experience leading a team of engineers (team size of 5 or more) in an agile/sprint‑based setting.
- Strong working knowledge of AWS services: Lambda, Batch, Step Functions, EC2 (API‑driven instance management), and cost management via tagging.
- Demonstrated experience orchestrating cloud infrastructure and services programmatically using Python.
- Solid understanding of code review practices, with emphasis on performance and scalability considerations.
- Experience collaborating with QA teams on test strategy and coverage.
- Track record of owning end‑to‑end sprint delivery, including quality and technical outcomes.
Preferred Attributes
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments typical of product‑led organizations.
- Strong communication skills to bridge technical and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset toward process improvement, automation, and technical debt management.
