Job Title: Technical Instructional Designer / Technical eLearning Developer

Role Summary

Trianz is seeking a motivated Technical Instructional Designer/eLearning Developer to design and develop high-quality learning solutions for product, engineering, partner and customer-facing teams in a fast-paced SaaS/cloud product organization. This role focuses on content creation and development execution under the guidance of senior team members, working collaboratively to deliver effective technical learning experiences. The ideal candidate will apply instructional design methodologies and learning technologies to create engaging, technical learning content that supports product adoption and skill development.

Key Responsibilities

Learning Content Development & Production

Develop learner-centric technical content for internal teams (engineering, product management, customer success, DevOps) and external audiences (partners, developers, end-users)
Convert business use cases, product features, APIs, SOPs, and technical documentation into clear, accessible learning modules with support from AI-assisted content creation tools
Build interactive learning modules across multiple formats: eLearning courses, microlearning units, interactive exercises, and self-paced tutorials
Create assessments including scenario-based evaluations, knowledge checks, and practical quizzes

AI-Assisted Content Creation

Learn and utilize AI tools (Claude, Copilot, etc.) to enhance content development and streamline production workflows
Support implementation of AI-powered features for improved learning experiences
Use generative AI for content creation assistance and basic automation tasks
Contribute to AI-driven content optimization initiatives under senior guidance

Technical Content Integration

Collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, and enablement teams to develop accurate training content aligned with product releases
Develop product training modules, user onboarding materials, and learning resources
Create hands-on exercises and practical learning activities
Support the design of learning content for cloud platforms, APIs, and technical tools

Learning Operations Support

Support learning needs assessments and contribute to skill gap analysis projects
Apply instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM) with guidance from senior team members
Assist with learning analytics data collection and basic reporting
Participate in cross-functional learning projects and collaborate effectively with team members

Required Technical Skills

Core Instructional Design Experience

4-8 years of experience in instructional design, with exposure to technical or product-focused learning environments
Ability to break down technical concepts (APIs, software development, cloud basics) for diverse audiences
Understanding of learning science principles and adult learning best practices
Proficiency in authoring tools: Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia
Skills in multimedia production: Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop), Canva Pro, basic design tools
AI-Powered Content Development: Basic to intermediate experience with AI tools like Claude, CoPilot or similar LLMs for content creation
Learning Analytics: Familiarity with learning data interpretation and basic analytics concepts

Technical & Platform Skills

Experience with Learning Management Systems: Moodle or similar LMS platforms for content deployment
Cloud platforms awareness: Basic familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud concepts
Experience working in collaborative development environments and familiarity with Agile processes
Cross-functional collaboration skills with technical and business teams
Basic familiarity with project tracking tools and documentation platforms

Preferred Qualifications

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Technical Communication, or related field
Professional development: Pursuing or interest in CPTD, APTD, or relevant instructional design credentials
Technical learning: Interest in cloud platform fundamentals or technical certifications

Specialized Experience

2+ years in SaaS, technology, or product-focused environments
Technical audience exposure: Experience creating content for technical users or developers
Experience in technical writing or documentation

Technical Knowledge - Good to Have

Basic familiarity with software development concepts: APIs, web applications, basic technical architecture
