We are seeking a Direcor – Learning Design to lead and evolve our learning design capabilities. This role involves strategic oversight of skill development, project quality, and resource performance. The candidate will mentor teams and collaborate across functions to deliver impactful learning experiences while also championing the integration of AI and automation into learning workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional peers to achieve organizational goals.
- Define and document competency levels and progression pathways.
- Outline training, experience, and courses required for skill advancement.
- Evaluate and map resources within the skill pool across competency levels.
- Identify senior talent for project reviews, interviews, and tactical/strategic interventions.
- Ensure content quality and instructional integrity across learning design projects.
- Assign resources based on project needs and expertise alignment.
- Manage performance of skill pool resources with input from delivery teams.
Quality Assurance & Project Support
- Conduct technical interviews during recruitment.
- Approve vendors’ technical skills for learning design projects.
- Support projects facing delivery challenges and resource gaps.
- Establish and refine processes for project execution within the skill domain.
- Maintain productivity benchmarks for the skill pool.
- Analyze client feedback and bugs to improve future project outcomes.
- Develop estimation norms for learning design efforts.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities, including RFI/RFP responses.
- Identify leads for managing RFI/RFP responsibilities.
- Represent LearningMate in client engagements to showcase expertise.
- Drive adoption of AI tools and automation in learning design workflows.
- Evaluate and integrate generative AI solutions to enhance scalability and creativity.
- Lead initiatives to embed intelligent automation into instructional design pipelines.
- Promote ethical and effective use of AI in content development.
Competency Development & Resource Management
- Provide data on competencies, training needs, and performance metrics to leadership.
- Collaborate with the Competency Manager to align development initiatives.
Education
Master’s degree in any discipline.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum of 18 years in eLearning and learning design, including leadership roles.
- Proven ability to enhance resource productivity and skill development.
- Experience in evaluating internal and external talent for project execution.
- Expertise in creating estimation norms and supporting pre-sales solutioning.
