Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a senior IP/Optical engineer in Pune to lead development for OTN products. You will design and optimize IP cores, work with Linux-based platforms, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust optical solutions.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in IP/Optical development, strong C/C++ and Linux skills, and hands-on experience with DWDM/OTN equipment and Open ROADM standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IP and Optical Development for OTN products.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming and Linux operating system fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Flex Grid DWDM systems and Open Line Systems.
• Understanding of Open ROADM specifications and YANG models.
• Experience with coherent optics, modulation schemes and line impairments.
• Hands-on experience with DWDM/SONET/SDH/OTN equipment and configurations.
• Experience in OTN L0/L1 Products and in developing device drivers, bootloaders, and BSPs.
• Able to read and understand hardware-software specifications.
• Experience with I2C, SPI, PCIe, GPIO, Serdes, and SGMII interfaces is a plus.
• Experience with Linux kernel issues, debugging kernel panics and applying patches.
• Adaptable to new products and technologies, with strong customer focus and teamwork.

• Able read and understand the Hardware-software spec.


• Strong hands-on experience with I2C, SPI, PCIe, GPIO, Serdes, SGMII, GPIO Interfaces is a plus
