Job summary

Fujitsu India is hiring a ServiceNow Developer to design, build, and maintain applications, workflows and integrations on the ServiceNow platform. You will deliver secure, scalable solutions across the platform, collaborating with business stakeholders to turn requirements into technical results.

The role requires 5+ years of ServiceNow experience, strong JavaScript skills, and proven end-to-end delivery. On-site positions available in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Noida and Pune.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer.
• Strong background in enterprise-level integrations (REST/SOAP).
• End-to-end development cycle experience from requirements to deployment.
• Demonstrable portfolio of ServiceNow applications/workflows.
• Experience with Git or other SCM tools.
• Awareness of Agile/Scrum using Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Ability to document, review code, and maintain high-quality code.

Role and Accountabilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our IT development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring platform performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Development: Build and maintain custom applications using Studio and App Engine Studio, adhering to best practices regarding Application Scope and Cross-Scope access.
• Scripting Automation: Develop robust solutions using server-side (Business Rules, Script Includes, GlideRecord/GlideAggregate) and client-side (Client Scripts, UI Policies, g_form) scripting.
• Data Modeling: Architect efficient data models, including table design, extended tables, relationship mapping, and dictionary configuration, with a focus on performance optimization and indexing.
• Workflow Design: Create complex automation using Flow Designer, Subflows, and IntegrationHub to streamline organizational processes.
• Security Compliance: Implement and manage robust security measures, including ACLs, Roles, Application Access, and Cross-Scope Privileges.
• Integrations: Design and implement seamless integrations using REST APIs, Scripted REST APIs, Import Sets, Transform Maps, and OAuth configurations.
• UX Development: Enhance the user experience through optimized Form Layouts, Service Portal development, Workspace configurations, and custom UI Pages.
• Lifecycle Management: Manage development lifecycles utilizing Update Sets and Scoped Applications effectively.
• Platform Fundamentals: Expert knowledge of ServiceNow data structures, application scoping, and development environments (Studio/AES).
• Advanced Scripting: Proficiency in JavaScript specifically within the ServiceNow ecosystem (Glide API family).
• Database Expertise: Ability to design scalable database schemas and perform query optimization.
• Process Automation: Deep experience with modern ServiceNow automation tools (Flow Designer/IntegrationHub).
• Integration Proficiency: Experience building and consuming RESTful web services and securing them via OAuth.
• UI/UX: Experience in developing intuitive interfaces using Service Portal and Workspace configurations.

Required Skills Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer.
• Strong background in building and maintaining enterprise-level integrations (REST/SOAP).
• Proven track record of managing end-to-end development cycles (Requirements gathering to Deployment).
• Platform Proficiency: Must be able to demonstrate a portfolio of applications or workflows built within ServiceNow.
• Version Control: Experience using ServiceNows built-in Git integration or other Source Control Management (SCM) tools.
• Agile Methodology: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Development Standards: Familiarity with documentation standards, code reviews, and maintaining a high-performance, bug-free codebase.
• Problem Solving: Exceptional ability to troubleshoot complex platform issues and identify performance bottlenecks using the Node Log, Script Debugger, and System Diagnostics tools.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business process owners.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Primary (Required): ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Foundational (Required): ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• Preferred: Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in any of the following: ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or Security Operations.
• Experience with Now Experience UI Framework development.
