Job summary

Genpact in India is seeking a Technical Architect to lead enterprise architecture initiatives, aligning technology with business strategy and driving AI-enabled transformation across IT landscapes.

You will define migration plans, mentor teams, and ensure security and performance standards while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degrees in computer engineering, CS or IT.
• Master's degrees or higher in information systems or software engineering preferred.
• Industry certifications in security, data management, cloud, and architecture are valued.

Responsibilities

• Understand technology trends to enable new business models.
• Drive digital innovation using new technologies to transform IT estate.
• Define high-level migration plans aligned with budgeting processes.
• Own analysis of current tech environment to identify deficiencies and improvements.
• Coach and mentor EA peers to develop architecture enabling new business capabilities.
• Assist in governance, assurance and standards for enterprise architecture compliance.
• Oversee technology implementation and integration across lifecycle.
• Consult on projects to harmonize systems with enterprise architecture and adjust ETA as needed.
• Lead evaluation and selection of hardware and software standards.
• Identify organizational and financial impact of enterprise technology architecture.
• Document design and analysis work; track metrics for value demonstration.
• Develop architecture designs and translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Ensure alignment with security and performance requirements.
• Lead implementation and integration of architecture across the SDLC.
• Guide development teams on architecture best practices.
• Regularly review architecture to meet evolving business needs.

Job Description

• Understand technology trends and the practical application to enable new and evolving business and operating models.
• Drive digital innovation by using innovative new technologies and approaches to renovate, extend, and transform the existing core technology base and IT estate.
• Define high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state, typically in sync with the IT budgeting or other capital planning processes.
• Own the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
• Coach, mentor and collaborate with technical domain specialists and EA peers to develop technology architecture that enables and drives new business capabilities
• Assist with designing the governance, assurance and standards activities associated with ensuring enterprise technology architecture compliance.
• Oversee, or consult on, technology implementation and modification activities (for example, projects), particularly for new or shared infrastructure solutions.
• Consult on application or infrastructure development projects to harmonize systems or infrastructure with the enterprise technology architecture, and identify when it is necessary to modify the enterprise technical architecture (ETA) to accommodate immediate or future project needs.
• Lead all aspects of and facilitate the research, evaluation, and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations.
• Identify the organizational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures and culture) and financial impact of the enterprise technology architecture.
• Document necessary enterprise technology architecture design and analysis work, possibly including project postmortem documentation and metric collection.
• Help the enterprise architect define metrics to measure and demonstrate enterprise technology value.
• Understand, advocate, and augment the business and IT strategies ‑ and, more specifically, EA development and service delivery.
• Be prepared to "sell" the EA process (overall, not just for enterprise technology architecture), its outcome and ongoing results, and to lead the communication or marketing activities needed to ensure enterprise success and use
• Develop technical architecture designs and solutions;
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements;
• Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and frameworks to support the architecture;
• Ensure the technical architecture aligns with security and performance requirements;
• Lead the implementation and integration of the technical architecture across the software development lifecycle;
• Provide guidance and support to development teams on architectural best practices;
• Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure the architecture meets evolving business needs and technological advancements.
