Job summary

CareStack™ - Dental Practice Management is seeking a senior, hands-on Technical Architect to own design of services within our healthcare platform. You will shape patterns and standards across engineering, working with Product, QA, DevOps, Security, and Governance.

Lead by example, drive secure, scalable architectures, mentor engineers, and steer architecture decisions across teams to deliver reliable, compliant software at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing and building enterprise-scale software platforms.
• Strong expertise in .NET Core / ASP.NET and modern web technologies such as Angular.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud native architectures, and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of API design, RESTful services, and integration patterns, plus asynchronous messaging.
• Solid grounding in database design and data modeling for high-volume applications.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred), containerization, and modern deployment.
• Experience building software for regulated environments (HIPAA/PHI handling) is a strong plus.
• Experience building AI-powered features in software engineering.

We are hiring a senior, hands-on Technical Architect to help build our next-generation healthcare platform. Operating at principal level, you will own the technical design of services and solutions within your business unit while shaping patterns and standards that extend across engineering. You will work closely with Product, QA, DevOps, Security, and Technical

Governance.

What You'll Do

Shape the design:

Define scalable, secure, and resilient technical solutions that align with product vision and long-term platform strategy. Translate business requirements into robust designs and implementation plans, specify component interactions and integration strategies, and establish reusable patterns that balance performance, maintainability, and cloud economics. Drive the incremental modernization of existing systems rather than large rewrites.

Stay hands-on:

Lead by example through direct development of critical platform components, and resolve the complex technical challenges and architectural trade-offs your teams get stuck on.

Raise the engineering bar:

Champion best practices for code quality, security, and maintainability. Lead architecture and code reviews, provide technical guidance during design and estimation to reduce delivery risk, and continuously identify architectural, process, and capability gaps, then drive the work to close them.

Lead through influence :

Mentor engineers and help them grow into strong contributors across both technical and functional areas. Drive architecture discussions and technical decision-making across teams, and promote data-driven decisions and healthy technical debate that reflect our values of innovation, ownership, and customer obsession.

What You Bring

• 10+ years designing and building enterprise-scale software platforms, including a track record of platform-level ownership and technical leadership across multiple teams.
• Strong expertise in .NET Core / ASP.NET and modern web technologies such as Angular.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud native architectures, and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of API design, RESTful services, and integration patterns, plus experience with asynchronous messaging and event-driven architectures.
• Solid grounding in database design and data modeling for high-volume applications.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred), containerization, and modern deployment practices.
• Experience building software that handles sensitive data in a regulated environment. Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI handling, and healthcare data is a strong plus.
• Experience building features powered by AI and applying it in day-to-day engineering.
