Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Accountant with strong knowledge of technical accounting and financial reporting under US GAAP and/or IFRS. The ideal candidate should have experience with ASC 606, ASC 842, equity / stock-based compensation and complex accounting transactions.

Experience supporting US clients, public companies, SaaS businesses or multinational organizations will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and analyze complex accounting transactions under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Prepare technical accounting assessments and accounting memos.
• Apply ASC 606 to revenue-related transactions where applicable.
• Support ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Support equity and stock-based compensation accounting.
• Analyze accounting treatment for complex transactions and business arrangements.
• Evaluate contract modifications and other complex accounting matters.
• Research new accounting standards and assess business impact.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and technical documentation.
• Prepare technical accounting conclusions for auditors.
• Support financial statement preparation and technical accounting disclosures.
• Prepare and review complex Journal Entries.
• Support Month-End, Quarter-End and Year-End Close.
• Coordinate with Finance, Legal, FP&A, Treasury, Tax and business teams.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Monitor changes in US GAAP, IFRS and relevant accounting guidance.

Key Software

Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, BlackLine, Workiva, Power BI; experience with other ERP, financial reporting or accounting systems will also be considered.

• 3-8 years of relevant Technical Accounting / Financial Reporting / Audit experience.
• Strong US GAAP / IFRS knowledge.
• Experience with ASC 606 and/or ASC 842 preferred.
• Equity / stock-based compensation experience preferred.
• Strong accounting research and technical documentation skills.
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting US or multinational clients preferred.
