Role Description

Tech Support Engineer (Data Sphere/Databricks)

Location: Bangalore, KA

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Incident Management & Resolution: Provide L1/L2 support for SAP Datasphere and Databricks environments, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
• Monitor data pipelines, jobs, and integrations for failures or performance issues.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, configuration, and data ingestion problems across SAP and Databricks platforms.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
• Operational Excellence: Maintain and update SOPs for incident handling, escalation, and resolution; ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIs for ticket resolution and system uptime; collaborate with Data/SAP engineering teams for complex issues and permanent fixes.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization in support workflows; document knowledge articles for common issues and resolutions.

Skills & Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in technical support or application support roles.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP Datasphere (data modeling, integration, connectivity troubleshooting).
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks (cluster management, job monitoring, performance tuning) – optional skills/good to have.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services (Data Factory, Storage) and Power BI is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with ITIL practices and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira).
• Excellent communication skills for global stakeholder interaction.
