Role Overview

The General Ledger Associate will be responsible for journal entry posting, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting support. The role requires intermediate accounting knowledge, ERP proficiency (SAP/Oracle), and strong Excel skills, along with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Journal Entries

• Post standard, accrual, and allocation journal entries.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.

Reconciliations

• Perform account and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure timely closure of reconciliation items.

Month-End Close

• Support month-end reporting and close activities.
• Assist in financial reporting and ensure timeliness.

Audit Support

• Respond to audit queries with required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

Master Data Management

• Manage Profit Center, Cost Center, GL Codes, Bank Account Codes, and exchange rates.
• Handle blocking/unblocking of master data as required.

Skills Requirement

• Intermediate accounting knowledge.
• ERP proficiency: SAP/Oracle (mandatory).
• Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic analysis).
• Experience with reconciliation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently with accuracy and timeliness.
• Flexibility to work in UK shifts.
• Team player with stakeholder management ability.
