Job summary

Magellanic Cloud Limited in Bangalore is seeking an Accountant RTR (Band 4) to manage accounting transactions, reconciliations, and period-end close in a global manufacturing setup.

The role requires 3–6 years in accounting, hands-on SAP FI/CO experience, and a Commerce degree. You will work 5 days a week on-site with cab facility and interact with finance controllers and plants.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years in Accounting or Shared Services.
• B.Com / M.Com or equivalent.
• Hands-on SAP experience (SAP FI/CO) mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Process journals, reconciliations, provisions, and close activities.

ACCOUNTANT RTR (Band 4)

Job Purpose

Perform accounting transactions, reconciliations, reporting support, and period-end close activities across various RTR sub-processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery in a global manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process journals, accruals, provisions, and accounting adjustments
• Perform balance sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliations
• Support inventory accounting, product costing, and COPA activities
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and project accounting processes
• Support period-end and year-end close activities
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Support tax accounting and compliance activities
• Ensure accurate documentation and audit readiness
• Coordinate with business teams and controllers on accounting matters
• Support process improvements and system enhancements

Process/Domain Coverage

General Ledger, Reconciliations, Product Costing, Inventory Accounting, Intercompany Accounting, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, Reporting, Budgeting, and Tax Accounting.

SAP / S/4HANA Requirements

Mandatory hands-on experience in SAP ERP and/or SAP S/4HANA Finance.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in SAP FI/CO finance modules
• Working knowledge of GL, AR, AP, and reconciliation processes
• Understanding of inventory and product costing basics
• Ability to prepare accurate reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Familiarity with financial reporting requirements
• Basic tax accounting knowledge

Experience

3-6 years in Accounting, Shared Services, BPO, GCC, or Finance Operations with hands-on SAP experience.

Qualifications

B.Com / M.Com or equivalent.
