Job summary

SyncUp in Mumbai (Thane West) is seeking a Tech Lead to own architecture, mentor engineers, and drive delivery of strategic features for global customers. You will shape backend systems, promote clean code, and ensure scalable performance across microservices.

Collaborate with Product and QA to specify technical requirements, estimate timelines, and remove blockers. On-site role with equity and performance bonuses, designed for high-velocity teams driving enterprise-grade software.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience leading backend teams and delivering scalable microservices.
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of core product modules — from requirement grooming to deployment.
• Architect and optimize backend systems using microservices and cloud-native tooling (AWS/GCP).
• Mentor junior developers, establish code review standards, and drive CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with Product and QA to define technical specs, estimate timelines, and resolve blockers before release.
• Own system reliability with observability, auto-scaling, and disaster recovery to maintain 99.9% uptime.
• Champion engineering excellence and reduce tech debt with clean architecture.

About the Opportunity

A rapidly scaling SaaS startup in the B2B productivity & workflow automation space, we’re building intelligent collaboration platforms that help teams eliminate friction, automate routine tasks, and align seamlessly across functions. Based in Mumbai (Thane West), we’re onboarding a Tech Lead to own architecture, mentor engineers, and drive delivery of high-impact features for enterprise customers globally — all while maintaining code quality, scalability, and engineering velocity.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of core product modules — from requirement grooming to deployment — ensuring clean, scalable, and testable code.
• Architect and optimize backend systems using modern microservices, event-driven patterns, and cloud-native tooling (AWS/GCP).
• Mentor junior developers, establish code review standards, and drive adoption of best practices in CI/CD, logging, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Product and QA to define technical specs, estimate timelines, and resolve blockers before release.
• Own system reliability — implement observability, auto-scaling, and disaster recovery strategies to maintain 99.9% uptime SLA.
• Champion engineering excellence: reduce tech debt, advocate for clean architecture, and introduce tools/frameworks that accelerate team velocity.
