Job summary

Tradl AI in Bengaluru is building India's first AI broker, with a foundation model for quant-reasoned trading decisions in natural language and integrated broking on our own license. As a senior software engineer you will own systems end-to-end, drive architecture decisions, and design distributed services with Go, Python, C++, or Rust.

Production cloud work is expected, primarily AWS with containers and orchestration.

Tradl AI is building India's first AI broker, with our own foundation model for quant-reasoned trading decisions in natural language.

93% of retail traders in India lose money — emotion, poor timing, no systematic risk management. Most "AI trading tools" are thin wrappers that hallucinate on numbers. We're building the opposite: a foundation model for real-time quant analysis, paired with integrated broking on our own license, cash and F&O.

What We're Looking For

• 5–8 years building production software, with a track record of owning systems end to end — from ambiguous problem statement to running in production.

• Strong architecture and system design. You've made real tradeoffs at scale and lived with the consequences.

• Distributed systems experience: service decomposition, event-driven architecture, message queues, caching, failure modes.

• Deep in at least one of Go, Python, C++, or Rust, and comfortable moving between them.

• Production cloud experience — AWS preferred, containers and orchestration included.

• Engineering judgment. You reach for the simple solution first and you know when correctness beats cleverness.

Bonus Points

• You've been early at a 0-to-1 startup. You know what it costs and you want to do it again.

• 1+ year managing or mentoring engineers.

• You've shipped AI/LLM-powered products to real users — and dealt with the evaluation, latency, and cost problems that come after the demo.

• Analytics or data platform experience — pipelines, warehousing, large-scale query workloads.

• Fintech, trading, or real-time market data experience.
