Job summary

Genpact Ltd. in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to manage Oracle databases across development, QA, and production environments with a focus on availability and performance.

You will support the Spire platform, drive automation via IaC, and participate in after-hours support on a rotational basis, while collaborating with global engineering and DevOps teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in production environments, preferably 19c.
• Strong understanding of Oracle architecture, performance tuning, and RMAN-based backup/recovery.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle databases across development, QA, and production environments with emphasis on availability, performance, and security.
• Support and improve the database infrastructure underpinning the Spire platform, focusing on proactive maintenance and enhanced monitoring.
• Own day-to-day operations including installations, patching, incident resolution, and change management for Oracle environments.
• Contribute to long-term initiatives including Infrastructure as Code adoption and migration to AWS-hosted database solutions.
• Develop, maintain, and improve automation scripts to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.
• Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning in collaboration with platform teams.
• Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues using standard diagnostic and monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure teams across global offices.
