Job summary

SalaryBox is seeking a Tech Lead in India who is a strong hands-on engineer and capable technical leader, comfortable in a fast-paced startup setting.

You will work within an agile team, influence architectural decisions, and guide multiple engineering initiatives to scale attendance and payroll platforms.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of software engineering experience with hands-on development
• 4+ years in a technical leadership role
• Strong understanding of DSA, OOP, databases, APIs, distributed systems, and design
• Hands-on experience shipping production-grade applications
• Proven ownership of architecture and technical decisions
• Experience across backend and frontend and full-stack contribution
• Focus on engineering quality, testing, security, scalability and performance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Startup experience or ability to operate like a startup

Responsibilities

• Make sound decisions around architecture, design, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.

• Strong hands-on experience building and shipping production-grade applications.
• Proven experience owning architecture and technical decisions for products or large engineering initiatives.
• Strong experience with backend and frontend development, with the ability to understand and contribute across the stack.
• Strong understanding of engineering quality, testing, security, scalability, and performance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong startup experience or demonstrated ability to operate in a startup-like environment.
