Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of C++ developers, driving excellence in coding standards and software quality.

• Review code and provide feedback to ensure compliance with best practices and performance benchmarks.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications in C++ and Qt, aligned with project requirements.
• Debug, optimize, and enhance existing solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Write clean, modular, and maintainable code, ensuring cross-platform compatibility.
• Experience in software development for medical devices with regulatory standards (IEC62304, ISO 13485) considered highly desirable.
• Support the team in breaking down requirements into technical tasks, monitor progress, and resolve blockers.

We are seeking a experienced C++ Tech Lead with 8+ years of professional software development experience and strong expertise in the Qt framework. In this role, you will lead and oversee software development projects, providing technical direction and hands-on contributions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing C++/Qt-based solutions, mentoring a team of developers, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable software.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of C++ developers, driving excellence in coding standards and software quality.
• Provide architectural and design guidance, making critical technical decisions throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into actionable development plans.
• Review code and provide feedback to ensure compliance with best practices and performance benchmarks.

2. Software Development

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications in C++ and Qt, aligned with project requirements.
• Debug, optimize, and enhance existing solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Write clean, modular, and maintainable code, ensuring cross-platform compatibility.
• Experience in software development for medical devices, and healthcare applications with adherence to regulatory standards (e.g. IEC62304, ISO 13485), is highly desirable.

3. Team Guidance and Delivery Support

• Support the team in breaking down requirements into technical tasks.
• Monitor technical progress and help resolve blockers.
• Collaborate with project managers/engineering managers to ensure smooth delivery of milestones.
• Communicate key technical risks and dependencies to stakeholders.

4. Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure seamless integration, testing, and delivery.
• Foster a culture of transparency, innovation, and accountability within the team.

5. Continuous Learning and Innovation

• Stay updated with the latest developments in C++, Qt, and related technologies.
• Introduce new tools, methodologies, and practices that improve productivity, innovation, and product quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in C++ software development, with at least 1+ years in technical leadership or team lead role.
• Proven record of successfully leading projects from concept through deployment.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++11/14/17) with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Expert-level experience with the Qt framework for cross-platform application development (GUI, multi-threading, networking, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with memory management, multi-threading, and performance optimization.
• Solid foundation in algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and lead high-performing development teams.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex technical issues.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
