Job summary

ZEISS India seeks an experienced Lead Developer- Salesforce to design, develop, integrate, deploy, and continuously improve Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and CPQ. Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including at least 2 years in a Lead Developer/Tech Lead role
• Strong experience with Agile delivery, Scrum, DevOps, CI/CD, release governance, and tools such as JIRA
• Experience with AI-powered development tools to accelerate lifecycle while ensuring security and compliance
• Knowledge of Salesforce Agentforce and AI capabilities for AI-driven solutions, including automation and integration
• Proven ability to lead Salesforce development teams, conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and manage risks
• Solid understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities: configuration, customization, automation, security, data model, integrations
• Hands-on expertise in Apex, triggers, batch Apex, SOQL/SOSL, LWC, Visualforce, and Salesforce patterns
• Experience with declarative tools (Flows, validation rules, approvals, profiles, roles, page layouts, dynamic forms)
• Strong knowledge of governor limits, data visibility, testing, and deployment patterns
• Familiarity with VS Code, Salesforce CLI, Copado, Git, and Bitbucket

We are seeking an experienced Lead Developer- Salesforce to join our technology team and drive the design, development, integration, deployment, and continuous improvement of Salesforce solutions. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys building scalable Salesforce applications, mentoring developers, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering high-quality solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Salesforce CPQ.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Salesforce development activities across configuration, customization, Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, automation, integrations, and platform enhancements.
• Design and deliver scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-performing Salesforce solutions that improve user experience and enable end-to-end business processes.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, reusable components, integration patterns, and implementation approaches aligned with platform standards.
• Provide technical leadership to developers through mentoring, code reviews, design guidance, troubleshooting support, and enforcement of Salesforce development best practices.
• Work closely with architects, business analysts, QA teams, product owners, and stakeholders to estimate work, manage dependencies, support testing, and deliver high-quality Salesforce releases.
• Contribute to release planning, deployment validation, documentation, technical governance, and continuous improvement of Salesforce delivery processes.

Required skills and Experience

• 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including at least 2 years in a Lead Developer, Tech Lead, or similar technical leadership role.
• Strong experience with Agile delivery, Scrum practices, DevOps processes, CI/CD, release governance, and tools such as JIRA.
• Experience with leveraging AI-powered development tools to accelerate the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, code generation, testing, documentation, and productivity optimization, while adhering to organizational guardrails, security policies, compliance requirements, data privacy standards, and responsible AI usage guidelines.
• Knowledge of Salesforce Agentforce and AI capabilities to design, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions, including AI agents, automation, prompt engineering, and integration with Salesforce platform services.
• Proven ability to lead Salesforce development teams, conduct code reviews, mentor developers, manage technical risks, and ensure delivery quality.
• Strong practical knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities, including configuration, customization, automation, security, data model, integrations, and scalable solution design.
• Hands-on expertise in Apex, triggers, batch Apex, scheduled Apex, queueable Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and Salesforce development patterns.
• Experience with declarative tools such as Flows, validation rules, approval processes, profiles, permission sets, roles, users, page layouts, record types, and dynamic forms.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce objects, governor limits, transaction boundaries, code coverage, performance optimization, security model, sharing rules, and data visibility concepts.
• Experience with Salesforce development tools and deployment utilities such as Visual Studio Code, Salesforce CLI, Data Loader, Workbench, Data Import Wizard, metadata deployment tools, Copado, Bitbucket, and Git.
• Strong experience in Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end development standards within the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Good knowledge of Salesforce CPQ, including product configuration, pricing, quoting processes, customization, and integration scenarios.
• Knowledge of Salesforce Experience Cloud, including customer and partner portals, user access, branding, navigation, and portal-specific development considerations.
• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs, middleware integrations, platform events, outbound messages, connected apps, authentication mechanisms, and integration error handling patterns.
• Ability to collaborate with business users, product owners, architects, QA teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements, support UAT, plan releases, and provide post-release support.
• Excellent communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications and Attributes

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, MCA, or a related discipline.
• Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, or CPQ Specialist are preferred.
• Experience working in global, distributed, or cross-cultural teams.
• Strong ownership mindset, collaborative working style, and ability to lead by example within a technical delivery team.
• Good communication skills, including speaking, writing, presentation, and stakeholder interaction.
