Cube is an AI-powered marketing technology company founded by alumni of Stanford, Wharton, and IITs, headquartered in Bengaluru and backed by Sequoia. We are building the future of marketing, not just as an agency, but as a product company with a growing suite of technology platforms.

The Role

We are looking for a Tech Lead to lead the engineering organization and serve as the technical architect behind everything we build. You will work directly with the founders to define technical strategy, scale our engineering team, and drive the development of both existing products and entirely new platforms from 0→1.

This is a leadership role for someone who combines strong technical depth with exceptional execution. You should be equally comfortable making architectural decisions, reviewing code, mentoring engineers, and helping shape the future direction of the company.

What You\'ll Do

• Own the overall technology vision, architecture, and engineering strategy across our product portfolio
• Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performance engineering team, establishing strong engineering practices and culture
• Drive the development of both existing products and new 0→1 initiatives across multiple platforms
• Oversee architecture decisions, code quality, scalability, security, and platform reliability
• Design and build scalable backend systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructure while maintaining a strong focus on execution speed
• Guide frontend development and ensure a seamless user experience across products
• Architect and maintain infrastructure on AWS and ensure operational excellence
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies including large language models, retrieval systems, AI agents, and automation workflows
• Partner closely with founders on product roadmap, business strategy, hiring, and technical prioritization
• Establish engineering processes that enable rapid execution without compromising quality

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including experience leading engineering teams and owning technical strategy
• Startup experience is mandatory. You must have worked in fast-paced startup environments and have firsthand experience building and scaling products under resource constraints
• Demonstrated experience taking products from 0→1 as well as scaling existing products and platforms
• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or a related field from a Tier 1 institution such as IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani, IIITs, or equivalent premier institutes
• Strong command of system design fundamentals including distributed systems, databases, APIs, and cloud architecture
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills. You are comfortable diving into production issues, identifying root causes, and driving long-term solutions
• Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, with experience building and managing engineering teams
• Ability to balance long-term architectural thinking with the urgency required in a startup environment
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, machine learning frameworks, and modern AI technologies is a strong plus
• Exceptional ownership mindset. You think like a founder and take responsibility for outcomes, not just output
