Job summary

StockGro is seeking an experienced backend engineer to own architecture and build scalable services for financial instruments. You will design low-latency systems and drive technical decisions that impact millions of investors.

You will mentor engineers, set engineering standards, and collaborate with product and data teams to deliver reliable APIs and resilient platforms at scale.

Requires 8+ years, strong Golang, and databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.

Now let's talk what will you own :

• Architecture & Systems Design - Design and own scalable, low-latency backend services from the ground up for various Financial Instruments. Make deliberate tradeoffs between performance, reliability, and speed of delivery.
• Technical Leadership - Set engineering standards, conduct design reviews, and raise the technical bar across the team - in code, architecture, and process.
• Execution - Drive projects end-to-end with a bias for speed. Run fast experiments with product and design, then scale what works.
• Engineering Culture - Mentor engineers, build a culture of ownership, and make the team around you better.
• Cross-functional Alignment - Translate business and product requirements into sound technical decisions. Be the bridge between engineering and stakeholders.
• Firm-wide Impact - Identify and fix systemic bottlenecks. Think beyond your team.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of strong programming expertise in Golang and databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience in building scalable, user-focused fintech platforms focused on investments, trading, wealth management, or market analytics would be a plus.
• Experience in building highly scalable REST APIs that align with StockGro's needs.
• Strong knowledge of databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience in building scalable customer-facing applications that are high-performance, highly available, highly transactional, low latency, and massively distributed.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance, scalability, and availability.
• Experience in designing and developing service-oriented architecture.Experience with cache-store/message brokers like Redis, RabbitMQ,or Kafka.Understanding of GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker is beneficial.Interest in learning new languages/frameworks as needed.
• Experience working in a startup environment with high levels of ownership and commitment.
