Job summary

The Future University in Chandigarh hires a backend engineer to build high-performance trading platform components in Go, including REST APIs, microservices and real-time data systems.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, deploy and monitor services, and contribute to platform-wide engineering practices.

About The Role

Join our backend engineering team to build a modern, high-performance trading platform in Go. You will work on REST APIs, microservices, and real-time data systems that power live trades for the next generation of Indian investors.

WHAT YOU"LL DO

• Design and develop backend services in Go
• Build REST APIs, WebSocket endpoints, and microservices
• Design and maintain database schemas - PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
• Write clean, testable code with strong unit and integration test coverage
• Collaborate with senior engineers on design and code reviews
• Deploy, monitor, and debug services in production
• Contribute to platform-wide engineering practices and standards

MUST HAVE

• 2-4 years of hands-on Go development experience
• Working knowledge of REST API design, HTTP semantics, and microservices patterns
• Solid understanding of relational or NoSQL databases - PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
• Comfort with Git, code reviews, and agile development workflows
• Familiarity with concurrency in Go - goroutines, channels, context
• Ability to write clean, testable, maintainable code
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and take ownership of assigned work

Preferred (nice To Have)

• Experience in the trading, fintech, or financial-services domain
• Exposure to WebSocket, gRPC, or message brokers (Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ)
• Cloud platform experience - AWS or GCP
• Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline experience
• Understanding of low-latency or real-time system design
• Exposure to broker APIs or algorithmic trading systems
