Job summary

StockBazaar is seeking the most senior technical leader to own the platform end to end from Delhi NCR-based office. You will set technical direction, drive architecture, and build a small team across backend, frontend, mobile, and data.

This pre-launch fintech/data product requires hands-on coding, honest code reviews, and decision-making on build vs buy. You will work directly with the founder and shape a scalable, production-grade system from day one.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering with ownership of production systems.
• Ability to lead a small tech team and own platform end-to-end.
• Experience with architecture decisions and vendor assessments.

Responsibilities

• Be the founder's single technical contact for the platform end to end.
• Set architecture direction, standards, and product roadmap.
• Lead and grow the engineering team across backend, frontend, mobile, data, and DevOps.
• Own code review, releases, and production stability.
• Collaborate with founder to translate ideas into a build plan.

ABOUT STOCKBAZAAR

StockBazaar is an all-in-one market research and analytics terminal for Indian investors. We are building charts, screeners, F&O analytics, mutual fund tools and portfolio analytics for retail investors across India - everything an investor needs to research the market, in one place. We are a data and analytics platform. We are not a broker and not an advisory. The product is pre-launch and moving fast. This is a chance to shape a platform before it goes live, not maintain one that already has.

LOCATION AND WORKING HOURS

Location: Delhi NCR Type: Full time, work from office Working days: Monday to Saturday Reports to: Founder Markets open at 9:15 AM. On trading days the platform has to be up and correct from the opening bell, and the team plans its day around that.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years in software engineering, with real ownership of production systems. We need breadth. You do not have to be an expert in every area, but you must understand each one properly and be able to hold a serious technical conversation with the specialist who is:
• Backend - Python, FastAPI or similar
• Frontend - React and modern JavaScript
• DevOps and cloud - AWS, CI/CD, Docker, deployments
• Mobile - iOS and Android, React Native
• Data - PostgreSQL, Redis, working with large datasets
• We also need:
• Someone who learns fast. Where you have gaps, you close them yourself and quickly
• Practical judgement on AI - what to use, where it helps, where it does not
• Real leadership. You can run a small team, review their work honestly, and raise the standard without slowing everyone down
• Comfort being the only senior technical voice in the room.

Good to have, not required:

• Knowledge of Indian stock markets, trading platforms or market data
• Experience at a fintech or data-heavy product company
• Having built or run something at scale on AWS

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• This is the most senior technical position in the company. You will be the founder's single point of contact for everything technical, and you will own the platform end to end.
• Set the technical direction - architecture, standards, and what gets built next
• Lead and grow the engineering team across backend, frontend, mobile, data and DevOps
• Own code review, release quality and production stability
• Work directly with the founder to turn product ideas into a build plan
• Decide build versus buy, choose vendors, and judge where money is worth spending
• Be clear about what this is: a hands-on role at a pre-launch company, not a management post at a large one. You will still write code, and you will inherit a codebase that carries real technical debt.
