Northern Trust Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Analyst in Trade & Settlements to provide analytic and operational support to traders. You will coordinate workflow, mentor junior staff, and ensure timely, accurate processing while maintaining compliance with risk controls.

Job Description Summary

Under general supervision (but works independently majorly) responsible for providing analytic and administrative support to traders.

Supports Team Manager in ensuring operational efficiency, focuses on the day-to-day operation of the department.

Would manage workflow distribution and the effective use of resources within the section.

Conducts complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.

May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management.

Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees.

May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role).

Major Duties

• Take ownership and serve as the Single Point of contact about the projects and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders. Support in taking them to closure.
• Should be able to understand organizational goals, strategies and should be able to help the team's performance in achieving the same.
• Ensure that the SLA / KPIs are being performed on time.
• Timely updating of process related documentation
• In absence of TL/SM - Organizes the work of the team, assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, checks all activities, and ensures prompt and correct completion of the work.
• Active monitoring and prompt reporting of exceptions
• Maintain technical knowledge of operations to resolve unusual and complex problems.
• Displays extremely high ownership for both the team and the process.
• Steps up and makes effective decisions wherever needed.
• Build and keep strong relationships with Team members & Middle office.
• Get involved in various new and on-going projects within the Trade and Settlements Division

Experience

Sustainable performance showed through examples/evidence, the above listed core skills, and competencies in the current role over a period of atleast 24 months.

A Graduate from any discipline (Commerce background is preferred)

Minimum of 2 Years of experience as an SA (Please mention if earlier work ex involved, relevant to Financial Services Industry )

Prior experience in Trade and Settlements area would be an advantage.

Candidate having prior experience and background with Asset Servicing would be preferred.

Must be flexible to work in shifts and/or on a rotational basis.

24 Months as a Senior Analyst to move as a Technical Coordinator.

Movement within TC and Associate Consultant will be 12 months
